The purpose and intent of our schedule is to help keep us organized and help the children to feel secure in knowing what to expect from their day. However, we also understand the need for and allow for those times when we need to be spontaneous and flexible.
8:00 Breakfast
8:30-9:30 Outside Play (We may go for walks or play at Edison's playground. If weather does not permit outdoor play, we will have an indoor movement ctivity from our Rainy Day Box. This time may be extended during summer and shortened during winter).
9:30-9:45 Clean-up, Potty Breaks.
9:45-10:00 Circle Time (May include stories, preschool activities, games, music, etc.).
10:00-11:15 Indoor Free Play (Time to choose our own activities and explore the theme-related and other activities in our centers).
11:15-11:30 Clean-up, potty breaks.
11:30-12:00 Lunch.
12:00-12:30 Clean-up, Nap Prep, Group Story Time.
12:30-2:30 Nap and Quiet Time Activities
2:30-3:00 Wake-up, Potty Breaks, Other activities will vary depending on the weather.
3:00-3:30 Snack (May be outdoors during nice weather).
3:30-4:00 Clean-up, Potty Breaks, Circle Time (may be omitted if we have snack outside).
4:00-5:30 Outdoor Free Play (If weather does not permit, indoor free play will be substituted. Time will be shortened during summer months).
All times are approximate and subject to change. Schedule will be adjusted for special activities. During the winter months, the length of outside play times will be adjusted as appropriate. Children arriving before breakfast will have free play time. Infant feeding and napping schedules are set according to their individual needs.
Opening time is dependent upon the schedules of currently enrolled children.
